Notice of Updates to Arist’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

We have updated Arist’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. These updated documents will become effective on May 29th, 2026.

We are making these updates to better reflect how Arist’s platform operates today, including how content is delivered, how personal information is handled, what privacy rights may apply to users and how users can contact us with questions or requests. We encourage you to review these updated documents in full:

For users and customers whose use of the Services is governed by Arist’s online Terms of Service, continued access to or use of the Services after the Effective Date will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms. If your organization has a separately negotiated written agreement with Arist that governs your use of the Services, that agreement will continue to apply to the extent of any conflict.

• Clarified how Arist’s messaging-based learning program works, including the types of course-related messages users may receive.

• Added more detailed SMS/text messaging disclosures, including message frequency, “message and data rates may apply,” STOP/HELP instructions and supported-carrier language.

• Updated user terminology and product descriptions to better reflect Arist’s current platform and customer structure.

• Refined terms that address user roles, customer responsibilities and use of third-party messaging platforms.

• Updated privacy and data-processing references to align with Arist’s current Privacy Policy and data practices.

Privacy Policy

• Updated the policy to reflect Arist’s current business model, including Admin Users, Learner Users and organization-sponsored content delivery.

• Added more detailed explanations of the personal information that Arist collects, how it is used and how it is shared.

• Clarified that educational/content-delivery communications are separate from Arist’s own marketing communications.

• Expanded disclosures regarding text messaging, including consent, opt-out methods, support contacts and limits on sharing SMS opt-in data.

• Added more detailed disclosures regarding cookies, analytics, mobile applications and content personalization practices.

• Added explanations of automated processing and AI-assisted content delivery used to support learning experiences.

• Expanded data retention disclosures with more specific retention periods for key categories of information.

• Updated GDPR disclosures, including clearer explanation of when Arist acts as a controller versus a processor.

• Expanded California and other U.S. state privacy-rights sections, including rights requests, appeals, verification and contact methods.

• Added a toll-free number and webform for privacy-rights requests.

• Updated contact details and other operational information to reflect Arist’s current privacy and support processes.
